An Island photographer has published a once-in-a-thousand-years shot of a cosmic spectacle.
Comet Lemmon was discovered in January and is making its closest approach to Earth today, just 56 million miles away.
Ron Strathdee of Digital Man Photography says he's been waiting for weeks for the weather to improve enough to capture it with his camera.
He's published shots of it in the skies over Port Erin - you can see his photos on Facebook via this link.
