An oil slick in Peel Harbour sparked an alert by coastguards last night.
The emergency services were called out at around 7.30pm and deployed booms to clean up the pollution.
Coastguard officers said the oil may have been released from the bottom of the harbour by recent dredging work.
They spent just under an hour dealing with the incident.
