Firefighters were called out to tackle a flat fire in Peel over the weekend.
Teams from Peel, Kirk Michael and Douglas were called to the property on Shore Road just before 5.30am on Saturday after a neighbour had heard smoke alarms going off and had assisted the occupant out of the home.
Crews investigated and found a pan of burnt food on an electric hob to be the cause - it was removed from the flat which was then ventilated.
The resident was then assessed by paramedics and treated for smoke inhalation as a precaution.
