Airport bosses say the number of people travelling through Ronaldsway last month was down almost 12 per cent compared to last year.
The latest passenger statistics released by the facility shows 51,338 people used it in September, down more than 6,500 on last year's tally.
Airlines on the Liverpool route showed a drop of more than 29 per cent in total, with easyJet reporting its passenger numbers to Merseyside falling by more than 50 per cent compared to last September.
Ronaldsway Airport says scheduled flights were down more than 12 per cent, while charter flights fell by almost 36 per cent.
