Over 20 new homes and a community hub could be built on a former military camp site in Jurby, if planners give the go ahead.
The Deparment of Infrastructure has put forward proposals to construct 21 properties on the land adjacent to the Bretney Estate.
If approved, it would see 18 one-and-a-half and two-storey rural-style homes created along with three two to three-bedroom public sector bungalows.
Also part of the initiative would be new walking and cycling routes connecting the Bretney Estate with the Jurby Parish Commissioners Hall, Health and Community Centre and local school as well as parking for 23 vehicles on the former parade ground at the site.
