A rapist who was jailed for almost 19 years after carrying out a sustained attack on a woman is to appeal his sentence.
In January, Jon-Paul Fayle was given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order, placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life and sent to prison for 18 years and nine months after being convicted of rape, indecent assault and other offences.
His trial heard he'd locked a woman in a Douglas flat and hidden the key before choking and sexually assaulting her over several hours.
Fayle is due to appear before Judge of Appeal Storey and Deemster Hopmeier at Douglas Courthouse on Friday, May 1.
