A local theatre company is set to perform an open-air Shakespeare play in the Villa Marina Gardens next week.
Parodos Theatre Company is taking on 'The Merchant of Venice' from September 7-9.
The venue has historically hosted outdoor performances in the past, but not in recent times.
Producer Charlie Williams says people are wanting to see the space used, and this could create more options for other theatre companies:
Audiences are invited to bring along rugs, blankets and chairs to enjoy the show on the grass, and a bar service will be available before and during the interval of each performance.
