Health Minister Claire Christian says only some people on war pensions get them part-excluded when it comes to paying for their care.
This week in the House of Keys she faced questions from Onchan MHK Julie Edge about whether War Pensions are taken into account when people face charges from Manx Care.
Mrs Christian said the system was complex, with Treasury being responsible for most benefits and some benefits agreed with the UK.
And she said care charges see some people having some of their war pensions discounted:
