Malew Commissioners say there'll be no increase in rates for residents this year.
The board says they'll stay at 199 pence in the pound after a unanimous decision not to raise them.
The local authority says it's expecting a drop in income from local quarries but a rise from new residential and industrial developments.
And it adds it expects total rates income to be slightly lower, and will fund new capital projects from its reserves.
