Electronic Personal Education Plans Will Benefit School Pupils in Care
A new multimedia tool has been introduced into the school system geared toward aiding the progress of some of the Island’s most vulnerable children.
Paper records are making way for Electronic Personal Education Plans, which will plot the progress made by roughly 100 children of all ages who are in care and attend school.
Traditional paper records were seen as laborious to complete, the new system is seen as an enjoyable and stimulating alternative for the pupils.
The online tool has come at a one off cost of £12,000 to both the Department of Social Care and Education and Children.
