That's the message from the Island's Civil Aviation Administration, which says unexpected lights and fireworks can dazzle and confuse pilots.
The body has updated its forms and processes, and needs 28 days' notice if you're planning to release sky lanterns or balloons.
You can let the CAA know by filling out a form on the government website.
