The Department of Health are reminding the public that the Isle of Man Breast Screening Programme, like those in England does not use MRI scanning.
It's is in response to the news this week that claimed the use of MRI scans may result in needless surgery.
A spokesperson said that neither the UK or Isle of Man use MRI scanning for this and are urging people to still attend screening as normal as it has shown to be effective in detecting breast cancer early.
