The Mountain Road will close this afternoon as conditions are expected to deteriorate later.
Police say the route will shut between Barrule Park Junction and the Creg Ny Baa from 1pm.
It's due to reopen at 5pm if the weather allows.
The Department of Infrastructure says a red weather warning and winds of up to 75mph means the road will close for safety reasons.
