The Department of Infrastructure says it's hoping to reopen the Mountain Road a day late after weather delayed work.
Part of the route's been shut since last week while workers prepare it for this year's TT festival, and was due to reopen on Friday, April 17.
However, the DOI says extended torrential rain has disrupted resurfacing, which it's now hoped will be finished on Friday.
Subject to weather, the department says it's now aiming to fully reopen the road on Saturday afternoon.
