Motorist Pulled From River Following Single Vehicle Collision

Driver Taken to Nobles for Further Checks and Observation

Police are appealing for information after a single road traffic collision on Wednesday night left the motorist needing to be pulled from a river.

At 10.23pm a Vauxhall Corsa failed to negotiate the bend at Sarah’s Cottage, with the car coming to rest in the nearby river.

It had sustained significant impact damage; the driver was removed and given first aid before being taken to Nobles Hospital for further observation and checks.

A warning to take bad weather into account when planning your journeys over the coming months has been issued by the Fire Rescue Service.
