MNH events to celebrate wildlife week

A series of events from Manx National Heritage get underway over the next week to celebrated the Island's diverse wildlife.

To mark Manx Widlife Week, running from today (August 28) to Sunday, September 6, the organisation has put together a series of themed events for different ages to help people learn about Manx creatures, landscapes and biodiversity.

The activities on offer will include arts workshops and bug hunts for children, walks, talks and trails.

Curator of Natural History at MNH, Laura McCoy, says: "Manx Wildlife Week is a great way to learn about and explore our lovely Island while meeting the people who help monitor and protect our wild spaces and the living things within it.

"Building on the success of previous years, this year’s event will take advantage of the August bank holiday weekend, offering something for everyone."

For anyone interested in getting involved, schedules and booking information can be found on the Manx National Heritage website.
