After weeks of public disagreements, the MGP and Economic Development have issued a joint statement saying they will work together in the best interests of the event.
The club and department met yesterday to one again discuss the changes to the races, which are effective from next year.
The MMC has been highly critical of the government’s plans to shorten the event and put more emphasis on the classic machines as opposed to the modern bikes.
However, Minister for the DED John Shimmin defended the decision in this week’s Tynwald and now it appears the MMC with co-operate fully herein.
They say further meetings will be held and, as progress is made, joint press releases will be issued.
