Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson has said the Island should be proud of its Civil Defence volunteers following the worst snow storms in 50 years.
The helpers were out in large numbers during the Arctic blizzards and gale force winds, carrying out a range of difficult tasks.
They were also instrumental in the helicopter evacuation of a vulnerable person from Cronk-y-Voddy.
The Minister said the Island as a whole should be proud of the major community effort that was undertaken:
