An MHK is calling for the creation of a Manx airline.
Garff MHK Martyn Perkins says the Island is at the 'U-point' of the COVID-19 pandemic and that there are unemployed pilots locally and that the Isle of Man has the skills and maintenance needed to run them.
He's suggesting the Island could go into partnership with the likes of LoganAir or Guernsey-based airline, Aurigny, and have more control over the likes of routes and timetables.
Speaking to 3FM, Mr Perkins explains what he thinks would be some of the benefits:
Rapists's appeal against sentence thrown out
Last chance to become next TT's charity partner
No gas price hike after regulator review
Cafe hits back after staff abused
Online appointments being considered by sexual health clinic
Treasury can’t say how much is made from medicinal cannabis
Road closures planned for tin baths this weekend
DOI has no junction safety concerns over Iceland plans
