The issue of arranged and forced marriage will be raised in Tuesday’s House of Keys sitting.
Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer will ask the Chief Minister what plans government has to introduce legislation against the issues.
Scotland introduced the Forced Marriage act in 2011 - it's also considered a criminal offence in the UK.
Mr Singer concedes the issue is not one currently under the spotlight on the Isle of Man, but says we should protect ourselves for the future:
