A weather warning has been issued for icy patches across the Island today.
The yellow notice from the met office is in force until 6pm tonight, with roads above 800ft the most likely to be affected.
Forecasters say this could also affect roads which remain wet because of seepage and any stretches in lower areas which are sheltered from the strong easterly winds.
They add with it expected to remain cold this evening the times of this warning may be extended.
