MERA applications will start being invited from this morning.
It'll be available for employees who've been made redundant, laid off or put on nil pay as well as self-employed individuals who can't carry out their work due to the lockdown restrictions and who meet qualifying criteria.
The support package has also been increased from £200 per week to £230 per week and will initially be available from March 3 to March 23.
