At the Belgian conference Dr Breesha Maddrell explained plans for the Year of the Manx Language in 2026.
The Culture Vannin director also talked about how grassroots and government support has helped keep the mother tongue alive.
The government says the fact nearly 2,000 schoolchildren are now learning it makes the Island an international example for reviving languages.
