Manx Dictionary for language enthusiasts

Local language enthusiasts now have access to a Manx dictionary.

Culture Vannin has published a new pocket guide called 'Manx Words' which is aimed at helping learners and speakers of the language.

The book has examples of terminology used in everyday situations as well as a list of numbers, days of the week and common place names around the Island.

Adrian Cain from Culture Vannin says they were influenced by the work of Swansea University - which produced a similar guide for Welsh language learners:
