A grant of £25,000 has been awarded to a local wildlife charity.
Manx BirdLife received the donation from the Manx Lottery Trust, which will be used to construct a welcome area at the Point of Ayre Nature Reserve.
The new area will feature facilities and information to those visiting, with seating, landscaped mounds for shelter, an information board and a viewing area.
The restored sand quarries will also feature a new outdoors recreational area so people can connect with nature.
