A Douglas councillor says he's hoping to swap the local authority for the House of Keys this year.
Peter Washington, who was elected to the local authority in 2021, announced on his Facebook page he'd stand in Douglas North.
He's a former paramedic and RNLI crew member as well as a trade union activist and says if elected he'd work to improve housing and protect tenants' rights.
The Isle of Man is due to go to the polls on Thursday, September 24.
