A Merseyside man will appear in court again next week charged with manslaughter.
53 year old John Meadows, of Verney Crescent in Allerton, appeared at Douglas Courthouse on Monday.
He hasn't yet entered a plea to the manslaughter of 57-year-old Jillian Hughes, a visitor from Merseyside, outside the Palace Hotel on Douglas Promenade on March 29.
There was no bail application and he was remanded in custody to appear in court again on April 9.
