A man will be sentenced next month after admitting trying to have cocaine and cannabis sent to him through the post.
Morgan Askew of Gorsecroft in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 20 year old admitted producing both drugs and attempting to possess them with intent to supply between March 12 and 19.
The court heard Askew had tried to have 6.4 grammes of cocaine and 984 grammes of cannabis bush sent to him – the drugs have a combined street value of around £25,000.
Mrs Hughes said the case was too serious to be sentenced in a summary court.
She remanded Askew in custody and committed him to a Court of General Gaol Delivery where he’s due to appear on April 6.
