A man who turned himself in after burgling a neighbour’s flat will spend a year on probation.
Jordan Declan John Caley of Woodbourne Square in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 32 year old had previously pleaded guilty to criminal damage, burglary, and theft after stealing a wallet containing £45, pregabalin tablets and a pair of jeans.
The court heard Caley rang police and said he’d committed the crime between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day but couldn’t remember when.
Mrs Hughes imposed three probation orders which will run alongside each other for a year, and ordered Caley to pay £150.79 compensation.
