A man will be sentenced in the Court of General Gaol Delivery after having almost £30,000 worth of drugs posted to him.
Joshua Stanley Corrin of Westbourne Drive in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 20 year old admitted a single count of being involved in producing the class B drug to the Island on August 9 last year.
Prosecutor Hazel Carroon told the hearing almost a kilogramme of cannabis was sent to a house on Cushag Road in Douglas but the woman it was addressed to refused to take delivery.
Corrin’s phone was examined during a separate police investigation and messages linked him to the parcel.
Mrs Hughes said her powers of sentencing were insufficient to deal with the case.
She bailed Corrin in the sum of £500 and committed him to the higher court, where he’ll be sentenced on July 8.
