A man who threatened to smash a bottle in a doorman’s face was serving a suspended sentence and banned from licensed premises at the time.
Ryan Kneen, whose address was given as care of the Isle of Man prison, appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 32 year old pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour on licensed premises, breaching an alcohol ban, possessing a claw hammer and knife in public, possessing cannabis and assault on April 6.
The court heard he’d shouted abuse at his ex-girlfriend and assaulted her partner at around 4pm that day, before going to Sam Webbs in Douglas just before 11.30pm.
There, he threatened a bouncer and when police arrested him they found a small amount of cannabis along with a hammer and a seven-inch carving knife in a bag.
Magistrates committed him to the Court of General Gaol Delivery for sentencing and remanded him in custody until he appears there on June 16.
