A man who’s said to have lived under a false name after fleeing the US has been committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
James Alec Douglas of Central Promenade in Douglas appeared before Deputy High Bailiff James Brooks at Douglas Courthouse via a live video link from prison.
At a previous hearing, the 31-year-old admitted possessing cannabis and obstructing police but pleaded not guilty to possessing criminal property and hasn’t yet entered a plea to perverting the course of justice.
Mr Brooks committed him to stand trial in the higher court and remanded him in custody until his next appearance on January 4.
