A man’s been placed on probation after dialling 999 and threatening to go on a killing spree with a chainsaw.
Jason Liam Christian of Bircham Avenue Close in Ramsey appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 30 year old admitted two counts of making annoying use of a communications network on April 26 and 29.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing Christian drank two bottles of vodka before dialling 999 at 11pm on April 26 to say he was going to cut people’s heads off.
Shortly before midday on April 29, he again drunkenly called the emergency services claiming somebody had died.
Police investigated both incidents and arrested Christian.
Magistrates revoked a probation order he was serving for a previous offence and sentenced him to spend another 18 months under probation supervision.
