A man’s admitted resisting police officers, injuring one with a screwdriver.
Christopher Quilliam of Watterson Close in Douglas appeared before Deputy High Bailiff James Brooks at Douglas Courthouse.
The 51 year old pleaded guilty to a single count of resisting officers at his home on February 2.
Prosecutor Hazel Carroon told the hearing police were called to reports of a disturbance just after 10.30pm.
They told Quilliam he would be arrested to prevent a breach of the peace, and he responded by becoming aggressive and wielding the tool.
He was fined £500 and ordered to pay costs of £125.
