A man accused of strangling his family’s pet spaniel will appear in court again on Christmas Eve.
Klaudiusz Maria Grzesiak of the Ballacannell Estate in Laxey appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 45 year old denies causing unnecessary suffering to an animal and criminal damage at his home address on November 18.
He’s alleged to have been drunk when he strangled the red cocker spaniel, called Milka, before wrapping it in plastic and hiding it in a garden shed.
Mrs Hughes bailed Grzesiak in the sum of £500 on condition he doesn’t enter licensed premises, purchase alcohol or consume it in public.
He’ll appear in court again for a pre-trial review on December 24.
