A court's heard an Onchan man is alleged to have shot someone twice with an air gun after using a baseball bat to break glass panes in a door.
Leroy Stephen McHarrie of Nursery Avenue appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He pleaded not guilty to criminal damage, affray and possessing an imitation firearm outside a house on First Avenue on November 17.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the court the 22-year-old is said to have banged on the door demanding to be let in at around 10pm.
When the householders refused, he's said to have broken the glass on the door before pointing the pistol through it and shooting a man twice, leaving bruising.
Magistrates said the case was so serious it would have to be heard at the Court of General Gaol delivery.
They bailed Mr McHarrie in the sum of £500 on condition he doesn't contact witnesses in the case, and he'll appear in court again on February 17.
