A Douglas man will be sentenced at a court of General Gaol delivery after being caught with more than £4,000 worth of cannabis.
Declan McBurnie of Anagh Coar Road appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Christopher Arrowsmith at Douglas Courthouse.
He pleaded guilty to possessing the class B drug on October 21.
The court heard McBurnie had been found in possession of 215 grammes of cannabis worth £4,300 after a parcel was delivered to an address on Clifton Terrace in Douglas and he and another man were seen by police in a wooded area near Groves Road.
Mr Arrowsmith said the offence was so serious it couldn’t be dealt with by a summary court.
He committed McBurnie to be sentenced at a court of General Gaol Delivery on December 11 and remanded him in custody until that date.
