A Douglas man who shattered the glass in a nightclub’s door went back the next day to pay for the damage, a court’s heard.
Frankie James Thompson of Summerhill Road admitted disorderly behaviour on licensed premises and criminal damage when he appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes.
The hearing at Douglas Courthouse was told Thompson had split with his partner on Valentine’s Day and had been drinking heavily.
At around 2.30am on February 15, he flipped over a table of drinks in Bordello on Loch Promenade.
Bouncers escorted him out and locked the door to prevent him returning, when Thompson kicked it several times.
After being arrested and charged, he returned to apologise and pay £300 for the broken glass.
Mrs Hughes ordered him to do 160 hours community service and pay £125 costs.
