A man from Douglas has been told he could face jail after he drunkenly assaulted a police officer.
Duncan Buchanan of Rosemount in Douglas appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Christopher Arrowsmith at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted assaulting the officer and being drunk in public on August 8.
The court heard police were called to Clifton Terrace in Douglas at around 9.15pm following reports from the public about a drunk and abusive man.
When officers arrived, the 33 year old swore at them and kicked one in the shins twice.
Buchanan was bailed in the sum of £500 while pre-sentencing reports are completed, and will appear in court again on October 1.
