The body of a local man was found in the River Douglas opposite Leigh Terrace yesterday evening.
At this time the matter is not being treated as suspicious.
With formal identification yet to take place police have not confirmed the man's identity, they have however confirmed he was 52.
Police have thanked the public for their understanding and patience following the road closure of Bridge Road during the busy period of normal office closing time.
The Coroner of Inquests has been informed.
