The Children's Centre has been awarded £50,000 from a Children in Need fund.
The grant is for a project to empower children and young people on the Island to deliver youth social action in their community.
The 18 month scheme focuses on young mentors, young leaders, and bringing a young person onto the charity's governing board.
Head of The Children's Centre, Joff Whitten, says the grant enables them to ensure that they're not speaking for young people, but speaking with them.
