Lifeboat launched to help RIB crew

Port St Mary's lifeboat was called to help when a rigid inflatable boat got into difficulties yesterday.

The Henry Heys Duckworth launched at 4.20pm on Saturday, August 1 after the boat with three people aboard suffered mechanical problems in Castletown Bay.

The RNLI volunteers towed the vessel back to Port St Mary Harbour.

Port St Mary Coxswain Rob Marshall praised the actions of those on the boat, saying all were wearing lifejackets and had a way to call for help.
