Laxey School is the first of the Island's primary schools to get a new covered cycle shelter.
The shelter has space for 10 bikes to be safely protected from the weather during the day, and is part of a government scheme to support those who cycle to school.
A travel and road safety survey showed nearly 40% of pupils at the school would like to be able to travel there by bike.
Cycle training is available to all primary schools and guidance on how to use the shelter will be given to parents.
