John McGuinness bags 18th TT win in opening race

TT legend John McGuinness added to his massive win tally today, finishing first in the opening Superbike race of TT 2012.

The Morecambe man dominated the race from the outset, with slick pit stops gaining him valuable seconds.

It marks the 18th win for John who turned 40 this year, bringing him ever closer to Joey Dunlop's record of 26 victories.

Ozzie rider Cameron Donald finished in second, with TT stalwart Bruce Anstey beating Guy Martin to third place.

Speaking to 3FM John said it was the perfect way to kick start his 2012 campaign.
