Island's inflation rate turns positive

The Isle of Man's rate of inflation has turned positive for the first time since April last year.

September's figure, as measured by the Consumer Prices Index, rose to 1.2 per cent.

That's up from -0.5 per cent in August.

Upward contributors to the change - which is still relatively low in a historic context - are rising transport costs and increases in sports and fitness subscriptions.
