The Isle of Man could ban the sale of cigarettes, cigars and tobacco to anyone born after 2008.
When the House of Keys sits on Tuesday, Rushen MHK Michelle Haywood will ask MHKs to back plans to introduce a private members bill.
The law would ban the sale of tobacco and nicotine products to anyone born on or after January 1, 2008.
The UK government is introducing similar measures which would mean nobody born after 2009 could buy cigarettes or vapes.
