Department of Health Urge Members of Public Heading to Western Europe for Summer Holidays to Check They Have Required Vaccinations.
Anyone visiting Western Europe this summer has been urged to ensure they have sufficient protection against measles.
The call has come from the Department of Health following an increase in cases of Measles in Europe, especially France, Greece and Bulgaria.
Anyone planning visits to these areas are asked to check they have had two doses of the Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccine.
There’s growing concern within Public Health following the revelation that the MMR vaccine coverage has dropped to 75% in some areas of the Island, leaving a large portion of people without the protection.
