Efforts to revive the Island’s seagull population will see thousands of the birds imported to a new farm in the west of the Island.
Foxdale Ornithological Organisms Limited will set up the new facility and truck the birds in on the Island’s ferries.
It says it’s currently looking for suppliers who can produce industrial quantities of chip baps to feed the birds before they're released into the wild.
The numbers of herring gulls on the Isle of Man have declined significantly in recent years, and experts hope the exotic new arrivals will entice gulls to breed.
