A six-year fundraising project at the Groudle Glen Railway has been nominated for a national award.
The organisations initiative to build the Brown Bear locomotive has been shortlisted in the top ten for the Railway Heritage Award from Steam Railway Magazine which recognises new-build and restoration projects aimed at celebrating heritage preservation.
The Brown Bear locomotive was officially launched at this years Manx Heritage Transport Festival in July - those at Groudle Glen are now hoping the public can get behind them by voting for them to win.
