Lots Being Done To Tackle Unavoidable Problem Of Pot Holes
Now the majority of the Island’s ice has melted away motorists are now having to deal with a number of newly formed pot holes.
The potholes are a seemingly unavoidable problem, which plagued the Island’s highways last year with a major effort undertaken to repair the damages in time for the TT fortnight.
Repairing the potholes comes at a major expense to the Department of Infrastructure seriously threatening to derail their efforts of keeping within their set budget for the year.
Minister Phil Gawne has said the estimasted cost of upgrading all of the Island's highways over the next year would come close to £1 billion, something that is clearly an impossibility.
